ROUGH DRAFT

The Detroit Artist Village is located in Old Redford on Detroit's northwest side an the african american community. The location was once an abandoned commercial strip. Officially it's doors in 2010 to serves as a nonprofit community as is a project of Motor City Blight Busters. The mission is to be a creative center for the community.

Artist Village was once an abandoned complex

is a project of Motor City Blight Busters for the beautification of the city Detroit, by destroy the cities blight and resorting the community with Art, Education, there is a cafe, and a open loft studio spaces where the people of the community can learn and create and share artistically.

The place is a community rehabilitation project with founding partners husband and wife team Alicia Marion, John George and Chazz Miller.

A once abandoned commer­cial strip serves

as the center of the village and houses the historic Redford

Theatre, a small coffee shop, vintage clothing store, and an art

education program.
