Language and Literature is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of stylistics. The journal's editor is Dan McIntyre (University of Huddersfield). It has been published since 1992 by SAGE Publications in association with the Poetics and Linguistics Association.
Scope
Language and Literature covers the latest developments in stylistic analysis, the linguistic analysis of style in language (particularly in literary texts). It has a broad coverage and offers easy access to important new research relevant to stylistics.

Language and Literature is abstracted and indexed in, among other databases: SCOPUS, and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2010 impact factor is 0.970, ranking it 44 out of 144 journals in the category ‘Linguistics’.[1]
