M.B.C. Institute of Engineering and Technology, established in 1893, is oldest government polytechnic located in Sadhanpur, Purba Bardhaman district, West Bengal. This polytechnic is the oldest polytechnic in West Bengal. This polytechnic is affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education,[1] and recognised by AICTE, New Delhi. This polytechnic offers diploma courses in Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
Admission
Admission to most diploma in engineering courses at M.B.C College is granted through written entrance examination JEXPO (Joint Entrance Exam for Polytechnic) conducted by the Government of West Bengal.
