GraphEdit is a software tool for working visually with the filter graphs used by the DirectShow API under Microsoft Windows. It can be used for transcoding and other processing of multimedia files. It was available as an executable with the DirectX SDK. But apparently the latest DirectX 9.0 SDKs do not include it anymore. It is now part of the Microsoft Platform SDK along with other DirectShow SDK material
