Yang Xuwen (simplified Chinese: 杨旭文; traditional Chinese: 楊旭文; pinyin: Yáng Xùwén; born 2 April 1994) is a Chinese actor, best known in television series for portraying Guo Jing in The Legend of the Condor Heroes (2017) amd Qing Long in Noble Aspirations (2016).[1]

Biography

Early life

Yang was born and raised in Nanjing, Jiangsu, on April 2, 1994. He attended Nanjing Foreign Language School and Nanjing No.9 Middle School. he entered Central Academy of Drama in September 2012, majoring in acting.

Acting career

At the beginning of 2014, when Yang was a junior he signed up with Huayi Brothers Media Group. In July, Yang made his acting debut in Cosmetology High, playing a scholar. In August, he co-starred with Dilraba Dilmurat and Merxat in romantic television series The Backlight of Love as Zhao Qianqiu. In October, he played the lead role in the Horrible Bosses, alongside Mei Ting, Huang Jue and Xiong Naijin.

Yang's first major film role was as Pa-pa in the suspense crime action comedy film Bad Guys Always Die (2015).[2] In October, he played Jiang Tian, the lead role in Wang Baoqing's Deep Blue, costarring Lu Chen, Mao Linlin and Merxat.

In April 2016, Yang had a minor role as A Kun in the romantic drama film New York New York, which starred Ethan Juan, Du Juan, Michael Miu, and Cecilia Yip. In July, he had key supporting role as Qing Long in Noble Aspirations.[3] In November, he starred in a shenmo television series called Zhong Kui with Madina Memet, Yang Rong, and Li Zifeng.[4]

In January 2017, his most prominent role to date was Guo Jing, in The Legend of the Condor Heroes, adapted from Louis Cha's wuxia novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes, where he appeared alongside Li Yitong.[5] In June, it was announced that he was in talks to portray one of the male leads in Hua Jianghu Zhi Buliangren.[6]
