Tony Sayegh Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs U.S. Department of the Treasury[1]
Tony Sayegh (born October 29, 1976 in Brooklyn, NY) was appointed Assistant Secretary of the Treasury by President Donald J. Trump on March 6, 2017. [2]He leads the department's Office of Public Affairs. Sayegh was a political analyst and Fox News Channel contributor prior to joining the administration.[3]
Education: Sayegh attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. There he received a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration. Sayegh was elected Executive Vice President of the Student Association and was awarded the Presidential Administrative Fellowship at the University. He also served on the Board of Trustees at the University.[4]
Career: Sayegh worked in the legislative office of Congresswoman Susan Molinari (R-NY) in Washington. He served on the press staff for (former) HUD Secretary Jack Kemp's Vice Presidential campaign in 1996. In the New York State Office of Federal Affairs, he served as a Legislative Fellow for (former) Governor George Pataki. Sayegh was elected as Deputy Mayor and Trustee of Tuckahoe, New York in 2003 where he served two terms.[5] Sayegh held the position of Executive Vice President of Jamestown Associates in Manalapan, New Jersey. The company is a political strategy, advertising and communications firm which was part of the media team for Donald Trump's Presidential campaign.
