Methods vs algorithms

What's the difference between this category and Optimization algorithms? These names are synonyms, so there should be only one. -- X7q (talk) 14:16, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. And the subcategories are not so useful. Dividing into, say, convex and non-convex subcategories would be much more useful. I have listed this article in the proposed category merging page. Lavaka (talk) 14:57, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
