Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ (Japanese: Code:Realize 〜創世の姫君〜, Hepburn: Code:Realize ~Sōsei no Himegimi~) is a Japanese female oriented visual novel developed by Otomate that was first released on November 27, 2014 for PlayStation Vita. The game features a steampunk aesthetic and a cast of literary and historical figures, including Arsène Lupin, Abraham Van Helsing, Victor Frankenstein, Impey Barbicane, and Count Saint-Germain.[1] A fandisc titled Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~ (Code:Realize ~祝福の未来~, Code: Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~) was released on November 26, 2016.[2] Aksys Games localized both games in English.[1] An anime adaptation has been announced.[3]
Plot
Cardia lives day to day isolated from the world in an restricted, abandoned mansion in order to fulfill her promise to her father. This is because her body carries a deadly poison that rots or melts anything that her skin touches - causing the locals to call her "monster" so her father told her to stay away from people and love, but then he was gone. One day, her quiet solitude is interrupted when the Royal Guards break in to capture her. That's when she meets the chivalrous thief Arsène Lupin who helps her break free from the Royal Guards. Cardia then finds herself on a journey with Lupin to locate her father.

- A young woman whose skin causes anything to rots or melts upon touching. After meeting Lupin, she went on a journey to find her father and unfold the mystery behind the curse she has.
- Arsène Lupin (アルセーヌ・ルパン, Arusēne Rupin)
- Voiced by: Tomoaki Maeno[5]
- A notorious and nefarious master thief who is perpetually cheerful, optimistic, and overflowing with confidence. He took Cardia with him in a journey to find Cardia's father.
- Abraham Van Helsing (エイブラハム・ヴァン・ヘルシング, Eiburahamu Van Herusingu)
- Voiced by: Junichi Suwabe[5]
- A vampire hunter who used to be a member of British Army, making him has superior physical condiiton and combat abilities.
- Victor Frankenstein (ヴィクター・フランケンシュタイン, Vikutā Furankenshutain)
- Voiced by: Tetsuya Kakihara[5]
- A researcher who once works to the British GOvernment. A genius and very sociable person who is now a wanted criminal.
- Impey Barbicane (インピー・バービケーン, Impī Bābikēn)
- Voiced by: Showtaro Morikubo[5]
- A man who accompanied Lupin to London.
- Saint-Germain (サン・ジェルマン, San Jeruman)
- Voiced by: Daisuke Hirakawa[5]
- A wealthy landowner.
Development
Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ was developed by Idea Factory's otome games branch Otomate. It was first released on November 27, 2014 in Japan for PlayStation Vita.
A fandisc titled Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~ (Code:Realize ~祝福の未来~, Code: Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~) was first announced released on November 26, 2016. It was first announced at Otomate Party 2015 along with the announcement of Otomate's 12 new titles.[2] The game features new routes and supplemental stories and routes are set after the different endings of the original game, allowing protagonist to spend time with the heroes.[6]
An English localization by Aksys Games was released on October 20, 2015[1] for North America region and Europe region one day after. They also planned to release the localization of its fandisc at 2017.[2]
While the previously two games have Cardia not voiced, in December 2016, the official blog of Otomate announced that Saori Hayami joins the franchise as the protagonist Cardia.[4]
