Hippolyte d'Ursel

Marie Hippolyte Adrien Ludovic, Count d'Ursel (Brussels, 17 november 1850 - 9 december 1937) was a Belgian nobleman an politician.
Family
Cadet member of the House of Ursel, grand son of Charles, 2nd Duke of Ursel[1], he held the rank of Count d´Ursel. He married Georgine de Rouillé (1859-1926). He held the political office of member of the Chamber (1894-1900) and sénateur for Bruxelles (1905-1908) for the Catholic Party. He was honoured in the D'Ursel Point.

- President of the Belgian Société Antiesclavagiste.[2]
- Président of the Royal Belgian Society of Géographics.
- Commissionary of the Exposition Internationale d'Anvers, 1894.
- Member of the Chamber, (1894-1900).
- Member of the Senat, (1905-1908).
Honours
- Officer in the Order of Leopold.
- Knight Grand Cross in the Order of Saint Gregory the Great.
