Codeblack Films is an American film production and distribution company founded and run by entrepreneur Jeff Clanagan.
Codeblack Films is the first independent, vertically integrated African-American-owned film studio. According to its founder, Codeblack Films was created to facilitate positive representations of African-Americans in film. Codeblack provides urban-themed programming that is distributed across theatrical, digital, broadcast and internet-based platforms. Codeblack's library consists of dramatic, comedic, romantic and faith-based titles featuring top African-American and Latino talent.[1]
Lionsgate
On May 3, 2012, Lionsgate joined forces with Jeff Clanagan to create Codeblack Films.[2]
