Merger proposal

I propose that Vector decomposition be merged into Scalar-vector-tensor_decomposition. I think that the content in the Vector decomposition article is negligible , and the scalar-vector-tensor decomposition article can be expanded to accommodate the former. 110.174.33.20 (talk) 11:22, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: the scalar-vector-tensor decomposition article discusses a special case which is idendendently notable, and hence should not be merged. Specifically, "a decomposition of the most general linearized perturbations of the Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker metric into components according to their transformations under spatial rotations". Most of the article is about that particular decomposition, which will not be of interest to readers looking to learn about the more general field of vector decomposition.
