Attention - Please Read
Please don't revert the occasional edit from IP 66.177.43.138. That's probably me being absentminded again. Execept, of course, if the changes are blatantly vandalism. If in doubt, please leave a note on my talk page. I'm on at least once every day, I promise I'll respond. Thanks in advance. - square_pear | talk 01:40, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Caution - Under Construction
This page is a mess and is in the process of being organized. My userboxes will be separated into categories, with the possibly objectionable ones going in a specifically created section (see below) and the rest either going in relevant sections or below the User Profile box. Babel boxes will stay under the profile. Until things are sorted out, please bear with me. As always, I welcome spelling and punctuation corrections, but, for the time being, please don't change anything else. It'll only confuse me more.
Also, if anyone knows of a way to fix the edit links for the sections parallel to the user profile box or just above and below the userboxes, please leave me a note on my talk page, email me, IM me, anything. It's driving me nuts!
The Non-NPOV Zone
This is where I'm going to put my non neutral userboxes and statements (political, religious, etc.) as an honest disclosure of my possible unintentional biases. This is in good faith.

Interests
I am a bookish self-proclaimed geek with science fiction and leftist politics fixations. I read and write science fiction stories, as well as some general fiction. I blog, and my first and primary blog has been up since 26 September, 2003. I like to keep up with current events and prefer reading the news online. I am also hopelessly addicted to Wikipedia (I've only recently joined, before I just read it voraciously), NationStates, and online political quizzes. I have a profound obsession with David Hewlett.
- Religious pluralism
- Battle of Tsushima
- Russo-Japanese War
- Punic Wars
- Libertarian socialism
- Bahá'í Faith
- David Hewlett
- Science fiction
- Comparative religion
Television
I watch far too much television. I'm a fan of a dizzying amount of shows, but I won't subject you to the full list. I'm a big science fiction fan. I'm a Star Trek fan; my favorite series are the original and Deep Space Nine, but I watch every incarnation except Enterprise, which I have... no comment on. I also love Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica (both original and reimagined.) I've also recently gotten into Doctor Who.
The shows I've been watching recently:
- Doctor Who
- Family Guy
- Futurama
- The Boondocks
- The Daily Show
- The Colbert Report
- M*A*S*H
- Blackadder Goes Forth
- As Time Goes By
- Good Eats
- MythBusters
News
I am a news fiend. I get my news primarily from the internet (BBC International News and Yahoo! News.) TV (C-Span) radio WJCT
I've recently become a NPR fiend. I listen to WJCT. I especially enjoy Car Talk and A Prairie Home Companion.

Articles to Edit or Create
- Converse College (it's a stub with only two sentences! Edit: There's a department list now, but it's still short.)
- Visual Thinking Strategies (or VTS; a method of facilitated discussion of art with beginning art viewers. I recently atttended a workshop on it, there is oodles of information and literature written about it out there, yet no article yet!)
- Hannibal (it's tagged as needing copyediting, I can do that.)
- Stuart M. Kaminsky (The fact that this man does not have a Wikipedia page is an affront to his voluminous body of work. I looove my Rostnikov and Toby Peters books.)

My SPUSA Userbox
I'm pretty sure all the other SPUSA userboxes are getting deleted. I just whipped this one up for myself. I'm keeping this in case they stay deleted. Whatever.
