Robbert Hartog

Robbert Hartog of Midland, Ontario, Canada[1] (-2008), an economist,[2] a philanthropist, a business leader[3][4][5][6][7][8][9] and an inventor,[10] served as the Chairman of the Educational Methods Group of the World Scout Committee.[11]

Born in the Netherlands and schooled as an economist, Hartog helped to rebuild the economy of the Netherlands after World War II.[12]

In 1981, Hartog was awarded the 147th Bronze Wolf, the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting.[13][14]

The Georgian College Robbert Hartog Midland Campus is named after him.[15]
