Editing

Hello, I am part of a Wikipedia Public Policy Initiative at Syracuse University, and am interested in editing this article. I would like to add more information specific to Cameroon, as well as to NGO's that were, or are still, involved with this project. I would love any input and very much appreciate any advice! Thank you! Katheb246 (talk) 23:12, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think you'll find a lot of what you're looking for here. Both Sub-Saharan Africa and the politics and effects of infrastructure are under-reported areas on Wikipedia, so welcome aboard!--Carwil (talk) 17:49, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article fails to give any information about use (or not-use) of the pipeline?

The article reads more like a discussion of many "ifs" and so on... but clear data like:

In 2007 there have been transported xyz Million Tonnes of crude oil to ...... or have been transported 125,000 barrels per day in 2007 for example.

I know that Chad has a very limited reserves, at least the yet known, I'm sure they would find new big oil fields/complexes... but it is landlocked and evenn with the pipeline... it was not build for yet unknown amounts and I think Chad produced around ~100,00bpd some years ago, Reserves were 1.1 billion barrels back than, and as we know every inch larger means higher costs:

for material, transport, even the deployment is very different it you compare a small vehicle and if there is a big difference in inches or so which easily can increase the weight by more than 100%...

But Question: Does anybody have any information about the usage, the amount in barrels per day? Greetings Kilon22 (talk) 17:58, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
