Earthing Transformer is an electrical protection device used most in three-phase systems for providing a neutral to power transformers.[1]

Earthing transformer

Construction

The transformer is designed to connect the network and device directly to the neutral and earth. Thus the trasformer protected the network or the device from electric shock. The winding of the transformer is zig-zag.[2]Every phase winding in zigzag connection is divided into two equal halves.[3]
