Linux.Wifatch is an open-source Malware which has been noted for not having been used for malicious actions and instead appears to try to secure devices from other malwares and prevent infection of a device.[1]

Linux.Wifatch was released on GitLabs by The White Team under GPL on October 5 2015.[2]

Linux.Wifatch operates in a manner similar to a computer security system and updates definitions through its Peer to Peer network and deletes remnants of malwares which remain.[3]
