I'm going to add a section that goes into detail about the non-genomic effects of steroid hormones. Here are URLs of four of the sources that I will be using, but there are many more to come I am sure. If anyone has suggestions on things I should include, please respond below this post. 1) http://www.sciencedirect.com.erl.lib.byu.edu/science/article/pii/S0039128X08000135? - PKC in membrane is directly activated by steroid hormones 2) http://www.sciencedirect.com.erl.lib.byu.edu/science/article/pii/S0005273602005898? - discusses non-genomic effects of steroid hormones.(rapid response to steroid hormones) 3) http://www.sciencedirect.com.erl.lib.byu.edu/science/article/pii/S0039128X14003134? - This review summarizes research findings on non-genomic effects of NR4A1 in normal and cancer cells. 4) http://www.sciencedirect.com.erl.lib.byu.edu/science/article/pii/S0301008201000120? - talks about the various effects of non-genomic effect of glucocorticoids, and why they are as such. 5) http://www.sciencedirect.com.erl.lib.byu.edu/science/article/pii/S0014579313001567 - hypothetical role of G-protein receptors in non-genomic effect of steroids 6) http://apps.webofknowledge.com.erl.lib.byu.edu/InboundService.do?product=WOS&SID=2AtySLSeZAF19uvBUZP&UT=WOS%3A000285185500040&SrcApp=EDS&DestFail=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.webofknowledge.com&action=retrieve&Init=Yes&SrcAuth=EBSCO&Func=Frame&customersID=EBSCO&IsProductCode=Yes&mode=FullRecord - GPRC6A Mediates the Non-genomic Effects of Steroids Mcfall2016 (talk) 14:29, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
