This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Phil Holmes (talk | contribs) at 15:07, 9 September 2006 (Operational Support Systems or Operational support systems?). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

This overlaps with Operations Support Systems, which is another term for the same thing.

I guess I'm to blame for this, since I created this page. However, I do think that "Operational" is far more common than "Operations" in this context (I worked in the field for about 15 years and never heard the latter term) even tho' Google gives "Operations" more hits. My personal suggestion would be to reference "Operational" from "Operations" and delete the (limited) information on the "operations" page. --Phil Holmes 18:40, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

removed the link to the year 2000, because it did not seem relevant to the topic being discussed Alexymj 09:00, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Alexy[reply]

Operational Support Systems or Operational support systems?

My assertion is that, since Operational Support Systems is abbreviated to OSS, then the words should be capitalised. Please discuss here before changing the title. --Phil Holmes 15:07, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
