The Association for Learning Technology - in short, ALT - describes itself as a professional and scholarly association which seeks to bring together all those with an interest in the use of learning technology. It claims 200 organisations and over 500 individuals in membership. It is based in the UK with headquarters on the campus of Oxford Brookes University. Around 6 staff (full-time equivalent numbers) are employed.

ALT was formed in 1993.
