Variables
Parameter | Info |
---|---|
juggling pattern | Name of the juggling pattern. If name is unknown siteswap may be used instead. |
minimum | Minimum number of balls needed to perform the pattern. For example, a cascade requires at least three props, but may be done with any odd number of props. |
difficulty | How hard the juggling pattern is. It would be great to compile ratings as articles about musical works do. |
siteswap | Siteswap is a juggling notation. |
Shannon | The number produced by Claude Shannon's juggling theorem. |
period | The period of a juggling pattern is the sum of the siteswap numbers divided by the number of balls, thus 423 has a period of (4+2+3)/3 = 9/3 = 3. |
synchronicity | Whether the pattern is synchronous (simultaneous throws/catches in both hands), asynchronous (no simultaneous throws/catches in both hands), or either. |
symmetry | Whether the pattern is symmetrical (patterns whose siteswap length is an odd number, for example 423 has three numbers and is thus symmetrical), asymmetrical (patterns whose siteswap length is an even number), or either (such as columns). |
