This is a documentation subpage for Module:Wikt-lang.

This module is rated as alpha. It is ready for limited use and third-party feedback. It may be used on a small number of pages, but should be monitored closely. Suggestions for new features or adjustments to input and output are welcome.

Usage

This module is inspired by the templates {{m}} and {{l}} and their associated modules on Wiktionary. It should eventually do what Template:Lang does, but without the huge number of small templates, like {{ISO 639 name fr}}. And it should also be able to generate the text in numerous {{lang-xx}} templates, such as {{lang-fr}}. (Or even more ambitious, it could generate automatic transliteration and IPA for some languages, to be used in templates like {{lang-rus}}.)
