Early Life And Education

Libby Offem-Oke is from the central senatorial district of Cross River State, Abi Local Govt Area. She is the first child among three(3) ladies. She had her primary school at Hope Children School, Ojo Road Lagos and proceeded to Calabar the capital city of Cross River State for her secondary education (Fed Govt. Girls' College, Calabar, CRS). Later to the university of Calabar for a Diploma-in-Public-Administration. And National Open University where she batch a B.A in English Language. She also went to Federal Radio Corporation (FRCN) for basic presentation, a certificate on TV Documentary, certificate on TV Production and a certificate of Film Directing at the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF)

She had wished to become one of those kids on television back in the days. But living in a real world where parents thought being behind the big screen or having a profession as such was a taboo, for drop outs, never do wells and other ills they ascribed. Those dreams only remained a thought she clenched to silently without ever sharing with anyone because she was ashamed to speak out about a profession the society already thought an abomination.

While She remained focused on what the society may appreciate her for, by the side, she stayed glued to the what she believed, the big screen to understand what it takes to be on the big screen, criticize every movie she saw; from camera angles to what only her thought she knew best. Gradually, she found her space, molded her thoughts, life and her entire psyche on to what she wants to become, rather than what the society wanted. More like she found her space at last.

In 2008 Libby gradually derved into photo modelling and acting. At first, "I thought being on the big screen was all about; light, camera and action. It became obviously more than that; after much ado I got myself on the big screen. I fell in love with everything from the technical to the artistic part of production. More fulfilling. I enrolled on basic production training to find resonance in myself and voice within others. Through these training, I have become a more critical elements to reckon with and a better content producer/director, which has gotten me where I am today".

Libby Offem-Oke is a certified Film Director from the 2015 African International Film Festival (AFRIFF) held in Tinapa, Cross River State.

Her love for TV created a part to her career and she has been able to find within her something different that has kept her strong through the years. She intends to go back the screen of acting soonest.

She's conscientious, responsible, reliable, intelligent, a leader in the making, a workaholic, a perfectionists who craves for a difference.
