add validation
Per a request at Help talk:Citation Style 1 I have added the bibcode validation from cs1|2 to this template's sandbox.
- Bibcode: 1998ApJ...508L..81K
- Bibcode: 1998.ApJ..508L..81K Check bibcode: value (help) – value
- Bibcode: 1998ApJ...508L..81 Check bibcode: length (help) – length
- Bibcode: 1998Ap&...508L..81K Check bibcode: journal (help) – journal
- Bibcode: 0998ApJ...508L..81K Check bibcode: year (help) – year
In the process of doing this, I notice that there is an undocumented parameter |label=
. Perhaps it is there because someone thinks that bibcodes are ugly:
For on-line use this is fine. But, the label is also included in the print only version of the template. Why? What value does that bring to the template?
