Portable Signal Numbers

Regarding your edits to Unix signal, POSIX requires specific numbers for only a small set of signals (see http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9699919799/utilities/kill.html). Implementations are free to choose some other numbering for the others, and therefore portable applications cannot rely on a particular number for these.
