This article was the subject of an educational assignment in Spring 2015. Further details were available on the "Education Program:University of Washington/Designing Internet Research (Spring 2015)" page, which is now unavailable on the wiki.

Edits

I've made a large number of changes to this article in my sandbox and moved them over en masse. I've added new content in the introduction, rewritten most sections for clarity, added substantially to the benefits and limitations sections, and created new sections for the use of web-based experiments in political science and internet studies.
