The Meizu M2 Note is a smartphone developed by Meizu ((Chinese: 魅族科技有限公司), or simply "Meizu" (Chinese: 魅族; pinyin: Mèi Zú)) . It is part of Meizu's mid-range smartphone line and was released in July 2015 in China and internationally shortly after. The Meizu M2 Note is the successor of the Meizu M1 Note. Visually the biggest difference compared to the previous model is a new capacitive / physical home button and a separate notification LED. it has a polycarbonate unibody design with rounded back and edges along with a rather minimalist front. The M2 Note comes in three glossy colors (white, blue and pink) and matte grey.
Firmware
As every Meizu smartphone, there are four firmware available: U and C are branded firmware for the Chinese market, A is the unbranded one for the Chinese market with the possibility to install Google apps and I is the international firmware. The Meizu M2 Note ships with Meizu's customised version of Android Lollipop called Flyme OS 4.5.1. On July 27, 2015 Meizu deployed Flyme OS 4.5.2. Italian and Russian languages are not supported anymore in firmware type A, despite the presence of languages other than Chinese, in particular German, English (USA and India), Spanish, French, Portuguese and two more Asian languages. This choice was announced by the Italian reseller [1] and caused a lot of complaints by the users who bought the smartphone before the announcement,[2] making the choice of Meizu controversial.
