Merge suggestion

It has been suggested that this article merge with the (I'm) Stranded album article. I note that there's been no reason proffered for doing so. In any case, can't really see the point - this is a notable song/single in its own right, not simply in the context of Australian music but punk rock as a whole. The album article needs expansion - something that's on my long list of 'things to do' if no-one else gets to it first - rather than merging with this article. Cheers, Ian Rose 04:45, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I argee totally with Ian Rose. The single of (I'm) Stranded is as important to Australian punk as God Save The Queen was in the UK. If every other artist can have a singles/song article then why can't this song. paulisdead 21:17, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Propose removing the tag on 23 July 2007, which will be one month after it was added, unless others come up with good reason to merge and/or consensus is still to be reached. Cheers, Ian Rose 03:13, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As there's been no support for merging after a number of months, I'm removing the tag. Cheers, Ian Rose 05:14, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Start class:
  • Green tickY A reasonably complete infobox
  • Green tickY A lead section giving an overview of the single/song
  • Green tickY A track listing
  • Green tickY Reference to at least primary personnel by name (must specify performers on the current single/song; a band navbox is insufficient)
  • Green tickY Categorisation at least by artist and year

C-class:

  • Green tickY All the start class criteria
  • Green tickY A reasonably complete infobox, including cover art
  • Green tickY At least one section of prose (in addition to the lead section)
  • Green tickY A track listing containing track lengths and authors for all songs
  • Green tickY A full list of personnel, including technical personnel
  • Green tickY Reliable independent in-line references supporting claims
  • Green tickY A casual reader should learn something about the single/album

B-class:

  • Green tickY All the C-class criteria
  • Green tickY A completed infobox, including cover art and most technical details
  • Green tickY A full list of personnel, including technical personnel and guest musicians
  • Green tickY No obvious issues with sourcing, including the use of blatantly improper sources
  • Green tickY No significant issues exist to hamper readability, although it may not rigorously follow WP:MOS
  • Green tickY No obvious omissions, but also no obvious extraneous information – such as "trivia"

Evaluation has been adapted from WikiProject Albums assessment scale for use on singles/songs. Please update this list when the article meets any of the above criteria, changing the article's class assessment as appropriate.

Assessed as Top importance for WP:AUSMUS due to rating by APRA as one of Top 30 Australian songs of all time (see article for ref). I have recently edited the article and hence may be biased, reviewed by – Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 22:52, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
