Line Source can be defined as the source of pollution that acts on specific paths only. This can further be explained by taking an example of the RAILWAY LINES. A railway travels on specific paths and hence the effluents that might be released from these are dispersed over the area in which these rails operate. Some other Line sources may be:

  • Highway Vehicals (Please do not take the vehicals travelling in cities as line sources)
  • Railroad Locomotives
  • Channel Vessels in Seas
  • Aircrafts etc.
