Merger proposal

Mostly support for merge, and major overlap already between articles, so merge done. -- P 1 9 9   20:52, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that Oracle E-Business Suite be merged into Oracle Applications. I think that there is sufficient overlap between the two articles to justify the merge (most of what's in the EBS article is already contained in Apps article), and neither article is sufficiently bulky to make such a merge problematic. Beyond that, the EBS article is at best going to be sparse and read like an ad even when the contents meet guidelines. May as well clean up. gloin (talk) 19:59, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disagree Oracle E-Business Suite is one specific application from Oracle, though it does have a number of modules, which can lead to some confusion. Other Oracle applications include Hyperion, UPK, and OBIEE. These can work with EBS, but are not truly part of it. • Support As EBS is part of Oracle Applications, so I suggest we can merge both and make EBS a section in Oracle Application article rather than it to be a different article. Charandeep S. 09:32, 23 April 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charanjaitu (talkcontribs)

Application list--proposal to split article

The application list is very incomplete and also outdated.

I would propose that the application list is moved to a "List of" article since it will be large and dynamic.

I would also suggest that the list is split into "mainline+accessories" and "industry vertical" applications, especially since the "vertical" applications now have their own Oracle conference (Industry Connect) and don't get as much attention at OpenWorld conference anymore.

This article should also have a "see also" to "List of Oracle acquisitions"
