A successful run for adminship generally requires:

A good something-or-other

At least a few thousand edits

Experience in certain areas

A good something-or-other

A good something-or-other means a history of being polite and usually a clean blocklog.

At least a few thousand edits

A successful candidate will usually have thousands of edits.

Experience in certain areas

Participation is such areas as AfD are blah blah blah.
