Restriction Enzyme Mediated Integration (abbreviated as REMI) is a technique for inserting DNA fragments (linear plasmid) into a genome site that has been cut using a certain restriction enzyme.

The REMI method has been used to generate genetically modified organisms.

Creating transgenic Xenopus

REMI has been used for large-scale transgenesis in Xenopus laevis embryos in order to identify in vivo requirements for FGF signaling during gastrulation[1].
