Adscript
Adscript (from Latin ad, on or to, and scribere, to write) means something written after, as opposed to subscript which means written under.
A laborer was called an "adscript of the soil" (adscriptus glebae) when he could be sold or transferred with it, as in feudal days, and as in Russia until 1861.
