Are all of these common-path?

Hi folks, I'm looking at this list and a lot of what I see here wouldn't strictly be called common-path, perhaps a better name for the content held inside this article might be "on-axis". In particular, I'm looking at shearing interference (DIC) which is a technique where contrast is gathered by two beams of opposite polarization. If they travel a common path, you wouldn't see nothin.--Frozenport (talk) 08:21, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
