This article should be renamed "Mobile Data Terminal" since it forms the acronym MDT.Dlombard 12:24, 1 December 2006 (UTC) Good point!Blathering1 20:44, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Radio Data Terminal (RDT) & Vehicle Mounted Terminal (VMT)

Is the VMT & RDT devices, used in the container terminals and seaport, are a kind of MDT? If yes, it needs a mention in this article. Currently, RDT & VMT are not described anywhere in Wiki. Amit Upadhyay 10:16, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Communications link?

What form of communications link(s) are commonly used by MDTs? Do they use systems from the cellular phone network (GSM, GPRS etc), or specialist radio networks (analogue or digital? etc), or what?Tjwood 10:49, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
