How to stop the bot:
To stop an individual task (requires autoconfirmed), go to User:EarwigBot/Tasks, find the task, and click "Stop". If you need to stop all tasks, admins can use this link to block the bot. I would appreciate it if you notify me on my talk page after doing either of these.
