Tables are a commonly used way of displaying information, particularly in articles that contain data. This tutorial aims at providing a guide on how to make tables; if you are looking for the policy on when to use them, see the Manual of Style.

The simplest way to insert a table is with the editing toolbar that appears when you edit a page. Pressing the button will open a dialog that allows you to define a table. Once you've chosen the number of rows and columns, the markup text for the table is inserted into the article so that you can replace the "Example" text with the data you want to include.
