Pathalgada (Template:Lang-hi) is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Simaria subdivision of Chatra district, Jharkhand state, India. It is located 35 km from Chatra.

Geography

Pathalgada is located at 24°7′37″N 85°4′8″E / 24.12694°N 85.06889°E / 24.12694; 85.06889.[1]

There are 5 panchayats and 30 villages in Pathalgada CD Block.[2]

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Pathalgora CD Block had a total population of 31,530, all of which were rural. There were 15,867 males and 15,663 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 7,927 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 1,163.[3]

Magahi, Nagpuri, Khortha, Hindi and Urdu are spoken in the region.[4]

Facilities

  • Market: A small market called as Pathalgada Bazar is situated in middle of the block.
