Tropidoderus childrenii, the Children's stick insect, is a species of stick insect native to Australia. [1]
Description
They generally measure about 110 millimetres (4.3 in) in length.
During adulthood the Children's stick insect mates more than once and females lays eggs its whole life as an adult. From Winter to Autumn, (winter laid autumn hatched) the eggs will hatch, forming an army of baby stick insects.they usually live in eucalyptus tree as their main source of food is the leaves of this tree. they have a long yellow strip that runs down the centre of their bodies which exactly matches the colour of the vein. this helps them to prevent them from being eaten by their enemies.
