The Lending Code is a voluntary code of practice for banks and other financial institutions in the United Kingdom that deal with credit and debt management. It includes bank account overdrafts, credit cards, loans and other lending to small businesses and charities.[1] The code is run by the Lending Standards Board, and is sponsored by the British Bankers' Association and the UK Cards Association.
