Template:Planetbox star Template:Planetbox character Template:Planetbox orbit Template:Planetbox discovery Template:Planetbox end Alpha Centauri Bc is a suspected exoplanet orbiting Alpha Centauri B, part of Alpha Centauri system, the closest system to our own. It is located about 4.4 light-years away and is not in the habitable zone. It was first announced in 2013, and was the second proposed exoplanet in the system, after Alpha Centauri Bb. It would have an orbital period of approximately 12 Earth days, longer than that of Bb, now proven to not exist, and far smaller than that of Mercury.[1][2]
