Template:Planetbox begin Template:Planetbox star Template:Planetbox end Alpha Centauri Bc is a planet orbiting Alpha Centauri B, part of Alpha Centauri, the closest star system to our own. It is located 4 light-years away and is not in the habitable zone. It was first discovered in 2013, and was the second planet in the system discovered, after Alpha Centauri Bb. It has an orbital period of approximately 20 Earth days, shorter than that of Bb, and far smaller than that of Mercury.[1][2]
