Example of {{fullurl}}

To me, {{fullurl}} seems like a much better way to link to diffs than just a simple (albeit faster) copy/paste. As a user of the secure server, http links are a little annoying because they needlessly take me to a server where I'm not logged in. Should the examples be changed to something along the lines of [{{fullurl:Main_Page&diff=212488423&oldid=210742813}}]? If not here, then on Wikipedia:Complete diff and link guide, perhaps? (A similar note was added to Wikipedia talk:Simplest diff guide and Wikipedia talk:Complete diff and link guide).—C45207 | Talk 07:52, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There were no comments, so I've made a change [1]. Comments welcome. Numbers 2 and 3 in the "How to put diffs and links into your text" section could be switched, depending on what we want to emphasize.—C45207 | Talk 04:16, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. For my part, though, I wish you wouldn't add anything to this particular guide that's alarming or complicated-looking. I created it for idiots like myself, and newbies, and tried to make it as un-alarming and un-techie looking as possible. Too many new users daren't even try to make diffs and links, in my experience. The Complete guide is the perfect place for the clever (and alarming) stuff. IMO. Sorry I took so long to reply. Bishonen | talk 17:34, 8 October 2009 (UTC).[reply]
I guess my tardiness meant you never saw my reply. I'm afraid I'm going to revert your change, per my argument above. Also, and a fortiori, I'm reverting your similar change of the Simplest diff guide. Bishonen | talk 21:29, 31 October 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Demonstration

A demonstration is required, an example on how to link to diffs. Having the instructions written only, isn't enough. GoodDay (talk) 17:20, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
