I was recently conversing with Shane Schiller who is the manager of Vortex Spring via email. Their web page says that no public display of alcohol was allowed, but it did not explicitly state that you could not consume alcohol at their facility. From our conversation, I determined that this is not the case and in fact, they want no alcohol on their property. We used to go there quite a bit for diving and it was nice to be able to drink a beer after a day's diving, but that will not be the case anymore. I informed him that we will be going elsewhere from now on. Who would have thought it -- the Florida Panhandle succumbing to the idiocy of political correctiveness. The next thing you know, they'll ban the local teenage females from wearing Confederate Battle Flag bikinis! Oh, the shame of it!
