Platform→Platforms parm

Hello, I noticed your AWB edits include deleting a "platform" parameter, which I see is still in the template as "platforms". Apparently you are deleting encyclopedic information? Prhartcom (talk) 13:27, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for spotting it. Its because both Platform and Platforms are allowed in the infobox. I'll fix the AWB code so it checks for both. - X201 (talk) 13:32, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

It will only be articles that use platform, instead of platforms. I'll run a scan if the database and compile a list of articles that use platform and sort any affected. - X201 (talk) 13:43, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Edge Games COI

I might be misunderstanding the context here, but when you say "Now if I'm correct, and you are either Mr Langdell, a relative or an agent or employee of Edge Games, you do not have to declare your interest, but it would create a bucket load of goodwill and make this whole process easier if you are and did.", hasn't the user already gone beyond that? They haven't merely declined to comment on a possible conflict of interest, they've explicitly said that they are "not affiliated with the topic". If this is a lie on their part, they're in breach of Wikimedia's terms of use. --McGeddon (talk) 09:03, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

This has been going on so long I forgot about that bit, thank you for pointing it out, have edited my comments on the Edge page accordingly. I think its fairly obvious that the involved editors are having trouble believing that Vertisis is not a duck. Because of good faith and giving him/her/it a fair representation and a chance to voice their opinion of the article, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief and work with them on any sane suggestion for improvement, rather than have them blocked and them turn up in a range of accounts to nudge and hack the article to remove any critical comment. I think Czar's, PresN's and my comments were just three people needing to vent. - X201 (talk) 09:43, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Wikipedia has a policy on what types of information can be added to articles (WP:NOT), lists of game locations falls under that. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, there are many things that, whilst relevant for Wikia, are not relevant for an encyclopaedia, indiscriminate lists in video games is one of the things WP tries to avoid. WP articles exist to give a broad explanation of a video game, minute detail is usually left to other sources. - X201 (talk) 09:12, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi, can you help me with sourcing this claim from Edge found on two locations in Wikipedia for the Elite article?

Edge Retrospective awards In a December 2002 retro gaming special, Edge retrospectively awarded ten-out-of-ten ratings to two titles released before the magazine's launch:

No, its not acceptance. I've tried to help you make this article a good Wikipedia article, and I realise you don't want that help. I urge you to go to WT:VG and ask them to point out to you what is wrong with the article. They are the people who made the "stupid rules". Because the WikiProject Video games members have built a consensus agreement that System requirements should only be mentioned in articles if the requirements are especially notable - See point number 12 on the WP:VGSCOPE section of the guidelines. Also, please read WP:3RR, as you have already broken it and are liable to get your account blocked if you revert the GTA IV article again. - X201 (talk) 12:31, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
