Harlequence is a combination of the words harlequin and eloquence! Jayme Harlequence also goes by the name meerkat.

Biography

Jayme Harlequence was born in Parma, Ohio. At a young age, he moved to Poway, a suburb of San Diego, where he graduated from Poway High School. He spent two years studying music theory at UCSC. Now twenty-one years old, he studies various subjects at Cabrillo College as well as by autodidactic means.

Under the alias meerkat, Harlequence writes various types of electronic music. His song "colours" was featured on James Holden's Balance 005.

Harlequence also makes folk/rock music and will release a CD in the future.
