ACM Transactions on Algorithms (TALG) is a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal covering the field of algorithms. It was established in 2005 and is published by the Association for Computing Machinery. The editor-in-chief is Aravind Srinivasan (University of Maryland). TALG was created when the previously known Journal of Algorithms was stopped due to pricing policies[1]. Apart from direct-submissions, TALG also invites special papers from the Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (SODA).

Abstracting and indexing

The journal is abstracted and indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded,[2] Current Contents/Engineering, Computing & Technology,[2] and Scopus.[3] According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2013 impact factor of 0.400.[4]
