Tanscriptome

Transcriptome is the whole set of mRNA species in one or a population of biological cells.


Meaning

Transcriptome depicts the expression level of genes. It is not directly proportional to the expression level of all the proteins (proteome), but it is an important set for researching the circuits of life (metabolome.
