The article reads a little loosely, like a personal essay. I sharpened the grammar in the hope of attracting more attention to it.
It would be nice to have a concrete example of an actual equation with a trophic function. Not just to make it easier for beginners, but also to allow experts to see what the exact definition is. Meaning where it goes in the equation.
