SQL Mobile (full name Microsoft SQL Server Mobile Edition) is a compact relational database produced by Microsoft for applications that run on mobile devices. SQL Mobile provides a development model and API consistent with Microsoft SQL Server.

The previous version of SQL Mobile was called SQL Server CE.

A follow-up of SQL Mobile, called SQL Server Everywhere Edition, will be launched near the end of 2006[1] and is available since June 2006 as a CTP (Community Technology Preview)[2].
