Java Class Library: proper noun or not?

There's an ongoing discussion about whether Java Class Library is a proper noun or not. Please express your opinion. 1exec1 (talk) 17:39, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I currently think that JCL is not the right name for this article. In fact I can't find any references to the term 'Java Class Library' on the oracle website. And google pretty much only finds hits on wikipedia. Pdevaere (talk) 06:37, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Overlap with OpenJDK, IcedTea and Free Java implementations

Parts of this article overlap with OpenJDK, IcedTea and Free Java implementations. I'm not clear on what can be done about it though. I don't think the articles can be merged. Should a new article covering the overlapping parts be created? --Chealer (talk) 21:36, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
